What Makes Dramarama So Special?
At Dramarama, we believe every child deserves the chance to shine—whether they’re ready to take centre stage or need a little gentle encouragement to find their voice.
We’re a fun, inclusive and creative drama club for children, serving Wendover, Aylesbury, Great Missenden, Tring and surrounding areas. From our playful weekly clubs and exciting holiday camps to more structured LAMDA tuition, we offer a nurturing space where children can explore, imagine, perform—and grow in confidence.
Low Pressure, Big Confidence
What makes us different? At our weekly classes, every child gets the chance to perform EVERY session, exploring their own creativity with improvised drama scenes developed with friends. Drama at Dramarama is low-pressure, meaning no stressful auditions or lead parts. Every child gets the space to do as much or as little as they feel comfortable with, while still feeling that incredible “performance high.”
Because when the pressure is off, confidence can truly soar.
Age-Appropriate Groups, Big-Sibling Style Mentorship
We run weekly after-school drama clubs tailored to different age groups:
🌈 Star-Starters (Year 2 & older Year 1s) : Our younger group, with imaginative play sessions that build confidence through teamwork, turn-taking and gentle performance.
🎭 Star-Lings (Year 3 & older Year 2): Our fun group for budding performers, full of games, improvisation, and creative expression.
🌟 Star-Lets (Years 5 & 6): More advanced activities for older children, building on improvisation and introducing more structured performance elements.*
🎭✨Drama Stars (Years 7–10) is like a youth club for teens and tweens—packed with drama games, improvisation, and the chance to create and perform small scripted productions, all in a fun, relaxed and friendly environment that builds confidence and creativity.
Older Star-Lets often get the chance to support our younger members—helping build leadership skills and a lovely sense of community across age groups.
Creative Freedom + Supportive Coaching
In all of our clubs, children enjoy a mix of drama games, improvised performance, and sometimes even a bit of scripted drama. Our coaching style is warm and constructive—we offer positive feedback, personalised support, and ideas for improvement. It’s not about being perfect. It’s about discovering what each child is capable of—and celebrating it.
For Those Who Want 1-2-1 or group coaching: LAMDA TUITION
For children who want more structured drama sessions, we offer optional LAMDA tuition in very small groups or one-to-one. This gives them the chance to:
Develop performance and speaking skills
Get personalised feedback
Work toward recognised qualifications—if they choose to
Whether they sit the exam or not, the focused attention during these sessions makes children feel seen and valued—and often leads to incredible confidence leaps.
🎭 NEW: The Dramarama West End Experience
While we pride ourselves on being low-pressure and inclusive, we also recognise that some children dream of the spotlight—and want to know what it feels like to be in a big, West End-style show.
That’s why we’ve recently launched the Dramarama West End Experience: a chance for young performers to take part in a full-scale production, complete with traditional auditions, scripts to learn, and the buzz of a big performance.
But—true to our ethos—it’s still run by our nurturing, supportive team, who are dedicated to making sure every child gets a chance to shine. We keep numbers limited and ensure that even ensemble members are featured, including the opportunity to develop their own short scripted scenes as part of our exciting pre-show.
It’s the perfect way to try a more traditional theatre experience—with all the care and encouragement that makes Dramarama so special.
